Welcome cadet. Now before we get on to your marine training I want to know a little about you. Tell me about your past RPG experiences.

I see. You seem to have the experience and Officer would require now lets check your posting.

This is the situation.

You are asleep in your bunk when all of the sudden the base is attacked. You are knocked out of your bunk and the klaxons go off.  Marine forces are mobilizing to repel. The corridor your running down is suddenly engulfed in an explosion and you are cut off from your platoon and alls you have on you is your hand held phaser and your traditional klingon knife. Your main priority is to regroup with your platoon and report to the front.

Your invaders will be lets say Jem'Hadar.

No no, that will do. =P  Excellent penmanship. Certaintly an experienced writer. That is what we are looking for in a member unfortunately they come rarely. =P Now since you do not need any tips on posting we do not need to go any farther that. But you will be given another situation were you will be posting with another person. I will be that other person okay? We will continue from were you left off. Oh and nothing against your form of posting so don't take this the wrong way. In Expansion Fleet many members often post in a format that seperates their thoughts and actions from their actual speech. I will give you an example when I add my post below.


*...Lt. Hamilton and his platoon were pinned down in the corridor. They were making their way to the barracks to regroup with Lt. Kang's platoon to then head out to the HQ but as they showed up and explosion cause the corridor to collapse and sever his platoon from Kang. They didn't have much time to try and move the rubble. A couple squads of Jem'Hadar started to open up on them...*

"Now how are we going to regroup when we have all these damn Jem'Hadar sneaking up on us all the damn time." Alex thought to himself.

"O.K. lets get rid of these damn Jemmies and seal that door so we can get this mess cleared up to regroup with Lt. Kang and his men.!"

*... The men shout as the reply to the order and the platoon charges to take up key position to battle the Jemmies, a nick name given to them by Lt. Hamiltons company. They lay down a suppressive fire to prevent their advance then a couple men through photon grenades to kill off a few of the Jem'Hadar that were closer to the Platoon. Hamilton hears from behind the rubble blocking Kang's and his platoon what sound like a hand held phaser being detonated. Soon the firing stops and the corridor blast doors are sealed...*

The force of the explosion hurled Kang out of his bed, sending him sprawling across the room before bouncing off the far wall. The room shook as another explosion shook the room, in the background klaxons blared, needlessly notifying all those within its range the now too obvious fact, that the base was under attack.
As more explosions echoed through the night some shaking the barracks building so badly that one would wonder how the building managed for the most part to stay intact.

Shaking his head in an effort to stop the ringing  in his ears Kang looked around. Through the densely packed smoke he saw other marines,, those still alive and able to function, attempting to pry open  the only door leading into the hallway. Picking his way over the debris  Kang headed for the door, One of the Marines noticed the big Klingon trying his best to reach them "Hey, it's Kang.. Come on ,help us get this door op.."  Suddenly a  huge orange fireball seemingly to rise out of nowhere  engulfed the Marines, throwing Kang up and back  depositing him almost where he started from. The intensity of the heat from the flames prevented Kang from blacking out, everywhere bodies and  parts of bodies littered the debris fill room, the blast had evaporated the door along with the Marines around it. Kang located a phaser amid the rubble, surprisingly undamaged and with a full charge Apparently this along with his traditional d'k tagh knife he had strapped to his leg would be the only weapons available for whatever lay ahead. Bracing himself Kang took a deep breath and ran through the wall of fire engulfing the doorway.

Emerging on the other side  with nothing more than a few minor burns and singed hair Kang heard voices echoing through the smoke, they sounded like they were coming from down the hallway. He immediately recognized  several voices belonging to some of the officers, sergeants and a few marines in his platoon. "Hey,, what's going on, who the hells shooting at us" he yelled through the smoke, "Jem'Hadar" came the reply "We're heading to the north..." The force of the explosion caused a section of the hallway to collapse,  the section between Kang and his platoon, filling the area with a choking cloud of dust and debris. As the dust slowly settled partially buried among the rubble unseen by anyone except maybe  Kahless himself  lay Kang.

It started off like a buzzing sound, eventually growing louder and more defined as the minutes ticked by, the noise became a sound, the sound became a series of sounds and screams until they blended together to become, the sound of battle. Slowly regaining consciousness Kang felt around and found the phaser, upon examination amazingly it was found to be  undamaged .  As he stood up the blast from a phaser hit a section of wall next to him peppering him with small amounts of rubble. Looking to where the shot had originated from Kang saw several Jem' Hadar soldiers advancing towards him in a leapfrog action, one firing while the others advanced, taking cover and then firing so the next group could advance.  Taking aim Kang fired off two shots one of them finding its mark, before rolling to the right and behind another fallen section of wall.
For the next ten minutes or so Kang and the Jem'Hadar soldiers exchanged shots in the end  two out of the original 5 remained. The first Jem Hadar soldier opened up , laying down a semi continuous stream of fire, leaving Kang unable to return fire without having to expose himself, meanwhile the second soldier crept up on Kangs position. When his comrade was within striking distance the first soldier ceased firing, as soon as the Klingon stood back up to return fire his comrade would strike from the other side of the wall the Klingon was behind.  Kang however had other plans, setting the phaser to overload, he waited  while the phaser continued to build up power before tossing it over the wall in the direction of the soldier who'd been firing at him. The second Jem'Hadar soldier seeing the phaser fly over the wall assumed  The Klingon was surrendering, unfortunately for them they forgot the most important fact KLINGONS DON'T SURRENDER. The phaser fell almost at the feet of the first Jem Hadar soldier who started to bend down to pick it up when it went off. The explosion hurled first soldier against the back wall, down the hallway and various spots on the ceiling  as well as serving to cause the second soldier's focus to shift away from Kang and toward the explosion. Kang raised up, upon hearing the noise the now single Jem'Hadar soldier turned once  more back to Kang, raising his weapon in the process. The soldier fired at point blank range, however the weapons energy was all used up, Kang meanwhile attempted to pull his knife from its sheath on his leg when the soldier with a fierce cry sprang over the ruined wall and into Kang. The two soldiers struggled, rolling around the rubble and debris, each trying to get an advantage over the other, a shot rang out, the blast barely missing the two warriors entangled in a struggle for life. Kang finding an opening kneed his opponent in the midsection, as his opponent rolled away, Kang took his knife and threw it at the newly arrived Jem'Hadar soldier the knife stuck in his chest and he fell. The other soldier scrambled over the rubble toward  his fallen comrade, hoping to get his phaser , however Kang having the same idea was rushing towards the fallen soldier at the same time. They both  reached the phaser almost simultaneously, however the Jem'Hadar was just a little quicker, as he grabbed the weapon Kang  reached out and suddenly grabbed the Jem "hadar around the neck. With the flames of various fires in the background and the sound of combat in the distance the two warriors stood  in the middle of the ruined hallway in the final act of what had now become a personal war. As the Jem' Hadar struggled to raise his weapon Kang  still holding him by the neck lifted him up. The Jem'hadar gasped for breath, as Kangs grip tightened slowly around his neck. Kang felt his blood boiling as his bloodlust grew from the exhilaration of the fight now drawing to a conclusion,. Dropping the weapon the jem'Hadar attemted to kick and pry himself from Kangs grip, Kang his lips now curled back exposing his razor like Canines as he let a a low deep ominous growl continued tightening his grip, feeling his almost claw like nails digging deeper into the Jem'hadars neck, The Jem'hadars struggle became more pronounced, and then it stopped. Kang dropped the now dead soldier, picked up the phaser and aiming at the wall managed to clear away enough rubble to allow him to crawl through. Once clear of the hole Kang made his way to the exit and out the building, the scene outside was that of devastation, obviously the Jem'hadar had caught them completey by surprise,  however  Marines sudden mobilization and  ability to put up such a heavy resistance was probably more than the Jem'Hadar had counted on. Kang fought his way through a few more engagements while all the while trying to locate his platoon, the last thing he heard was that they were heading north, after an hour or so, Kang finally located his platoon, they had been ordered to secure the north gate, reporting to his platoon sergeant Kang made no mention of the fight in the hallway, simply stating that he'd been delayed by unforeseen circumstances. The sergeant looked at Kang, the big Klingon had obviously been in some sort of fight, however he figured it couldn't have been much since the Klingon didn't mention it. "Ok Kang, Take a position on the right, hope your ready for a fight...."

"well at least we still have communication, hopefully we can organize some sort of defense" Kang thought.

Grabbing his phaser Kang checked the setting, noticing it was presently set to "Stun" he changed the setting to "Kill".

"Allright team, Listen up. I want two lines, everyone in each line will be spaced 10 feet apart, find some cover, if it ain't a Marine Kill it!" Kang shouted to his men before watching them take thier positions.
