Morgan Freeman

Morgan takes his seat back from Larial and monitors the collapse of the warp field "The field is dispersed T'lana and we are good on the drive."  Turning his chair around he speaks to the Captain "I agree with T'lana captain, we shouldn't make any changes until we see the drives effect on the crew."

Taurik

"Transfer the coordinates to the helm. Mr. Sarpedon, alter course to intercept and increase to maximum warp."

Chaya Sar

Chaya Sar looked at the data and sighed.

"Yes, I know what happened now. You see, where I am from, all Hyperdrives are programmed to not work within the influence of a significant gravity well like a planet or star. In Hyperspace, if the Hyperdrive detects the same form of gravity well, it is programmed to drop to normal space, in order for recalculation of the Navigation Computer for another jump. So the previous administration of my galaxy, the Galactic Empire created vessels that could simulate a gravity well, making a Hyperspace transitioning vessel drop to normal space, where they can then capture the occupants.
Even though the Empire is no more, pirates and other disreputable beings, including those who wish the Empire to return to power, utilize these installations for their cause. Whatever that may be."

Chaya Sar

Chaya Sar found it interesting how similar their two galaxies really were, including the space naval tradition. She remembered being on the Bridge of a New Republic Battlecruiser as it was being docked. The difference being, the Battlecruiser was actually landing on the planet Coruscant - Capital planet of her galaxy - but the chain of command and ways of doing things were the same.

"What do I do?" Chaya Sar asked T'lana, confused.

Chaya Sar

~"Yes I sense it too, there is a great darkness coming, but it is not from our new allies, it comes from else where. How of our passenger? Is she with you? Is she alive?"~

T'lana

"That sounds logical enough."

T'lana took out her Tricorder and opened it. Accessing the memory for the scans she took of Chaya Sar's vessel, the scans in particular showed the potential energy of the Viper.

"Take a look at this. The potential energy of Chaya Sar's vessel is off the scale in comparison to the potential energy capabilities of anything Starfleet and for that matter, the entire galaxy has achieved. According to these readings, her vessel produces the potential energy on the scale of Planck Energy, that is ten to the nineteen billion electron volts. That is the maximum amount of energy any mechanism can achieve."

Taurik

"All stop. Commander, get a more detailed scan of the area. I'd like to know where the distress signal is coming from, and what might have prompted it."

THE BORG COLLECTIVE

The Borg Queen realized that in her arrogance she just gave away a little too much information and decided best to take a diplomatic approach.

"Assimilation was not a priority for the Borg at that time."

T'lana

"Very good Mr. Sarpedon, maintain course and speed."

It took the USS Rivendell and Battle Group Thirteen approximately thirty minutes at transwarp velocities to reach the Borg Unicomplex.

T'lana ordered Givrillian to slow to impulse and display their location on screen.
The Rivendell's Main Viewer displayed several asteroids and meteorites with a mass of eerie metal constructs with glowing green trim. A Transport Tube connected several of the main complexes.

"Acting Captain T'lana to fleet. Remember we are here to rescue Captain Taurik, but we are now at the central nexus of the Borg Collective, so battle stations."

=A=USS RIVENDELL OUT=A=

"Mr. Sarpedon, once we are close enough, the Borg Collective will hail us, remember that this is a standard automatic hail from the Hive Mind. Do not fire upon them until I give the order, understood?"

Odona Covell

<Heraani Space Station - Hera System>

~"I have not seen him since we made the last jump, I feel his presence but don't know his status at the moment.  I will attempt to find out about him if you would like me to?"~

Larial

Larial had spent along time just standing still and listening to everything that was going on. During that time she became bored several times, so she began running through all her functions. In this, the built in help files were most helpful and by the time Morgan and T'lana left she finally knew everything she was capable of.

Returning her Neural Net to normal cognitive and motor functions, she became distressed that her creator was no longer in her vicinity. Looking around the room, she could not see staying her with them alone, so Larial chased after her creator.

Walking quickly into the Engineering Lab she went up to her creator and asked,

"Hello father, can I be of assistance?"

T'lana

"Captain we are nearing the source of the distress beacon."

Morgan Freeman

"Yes sir, it may take a minute as the computer system is different."   Morgan stepped towards the fighter and climbed up inside of the cockpit and started the interface process.  After a few moments of trial and error the interface activated and the transfer started.  "Transfer will be complete in 35 minutes, I had to slow the interface down for the translator."
